So what...he had a fight with his family, then go to the church and kill 26...after that he comitt suicide...what he acomplished with this?
share15 minutes of fame...a legacy of pain...on going national shame...but it's all in the game...
This land ain't for the tame...we know what's to blame...and it will stay the same sans any change
The answers are simple no need to explain...to bring a gun to the temple is fucking insane!
Those people were praying...you know what I'm saying...now cold on the slab their corpses are
Laying.
Love it or leave it ...I know what you're saying...but I'd rather fix it...so FUCK YOU...I'm staying!
This land is your land as well is it mine...I don't carry a gun and I'm doing fine. A good woman's love are the ties that bind...I'm like Johnny Cash...walking the line!
Family and friends...what I love best...but I worry for them in this wild fucking west. A teenager died from a round through the chest...forget mothers love...forget the rest...her parents should have wrapped her in a bulletin proof vest. No first love...no sweet sixteen...all those things lost...at a massacre scene...
Did you write that?
shareDidn't really intend on it but yeah...as I said...it got away from me...
shareI thought it was pretty good
shareYou know...it didn't feel good...but it felt right...thank you 😊
shareI agree with the premise of your post that nothing will change and praying won't help.
shareyeah...as an atheist I certainly hold no stock in prayer, but even I know bringing a gun to church is wrong...as is a gun at schools, bars or libraries...most of which are legal in Texas...it's the Wild West...except you had to check your firearms with the local sheriff in the Wild West of old...the wild fucking west is today's answer to the problems that don't exist...
shareThis would have made a much better impression and something to think about....if only you had left the damn profanity out! Honestly, all I can recall are the f-bombs!
shareSome people want it to be one way...but it's the other...sorry you didn't feel it,but I just intended on writing some snappy response...what followed wasn't thought out...it just...occurred...I wouldn't know how to write what I wrote differently any more than I could walk on water or fly unassisted...
But in the words of the great Walter Sobchak...fuck it dude...let's go bowling🎳🏄🏻☠
Which were illegally acquired !

Yeah...saw that...don't get me started on our background check policies...a joke does not begin to address the punchline it is.
As you are Canadian you probably...well you probably know more about American gun laws than most US citizens, but let's say you don't...when a person purchases a gun they submit to a "thorough"
Background check which usually takes 7 days...here is where shit gets sketchy...within 24 hours of completion of background checks...ALL INFORMATION IS DESTOYED! That's right...gone! The idea that there is some federal database where gun purchases are catalogued and monitored is a bigger fairytale than the the old and new testaments combined. When confronted with what I would do towsrds sensible gun control the first thing I say is implement a system of tracking weapons and those that own them...much like the BMV does with vehicles.
@Dfeet
Are you stating when purchasing just the weapon, the information is destroyed? Odd when I purchased my first one in Florida then obtained my CW the info remained in a database. BTW, it wasn’t a seven day wait....three days. I moved to Mississippi, purchased another weapon and after checking the database I walked out with it within an hour. Where are you getting your information? And please if you don’t have faith in the Scriptures, well, your loss, but quit besmirching what I and million of others do have.
If you say so ma'am.

Thank you for the news links you post. I was aware of this neglected duty to inform, but others may not be. It’s a good thing to get updated news on a subject of discussion.
As much as I don't want to exchange hostilities with another board member, I also don't want any ambiguity or distrust in the info I imparted in my post. Here are some links that will illustrate these claims as fact...
(I will have to post them in their own posts as MC refreshes every time I leave the page to copy web addresses.)
This is an NRA supported site...

Third section clearly(and proudly)states NO universal registry for gun ownership! Also delves into some states approach or lack of gun registration and licensing.
This page deals with waiting periods. As there is no federal waiting period it delves deeply into the states that have instituted them. As I and ratios and averages indicate...7days is the usual time frame. While some states do embrace a rather digregressive 3 day period...many more follow a 10-14 day approach and the lion share incorporate a...that's right 7days!

Interesting if not terrifying!
This outlines federal and state procedures pertaining to background checks. First section states no federal registry and that all checks are destroyed within 24 hour by federal law!
Loads of other often frustrating methods states have voluntarily submitted to...notice how few out of fifty do anything...

Almost an overload of info...but it's all there..the good the bad and the stupid😯
And finally...on a personal note...the bible mentions dragons 30 times and unicorns...9! I call that the makings of a fairytale...
shareThank you for your informative links. I was currently in the process of gathering information for myself. I also do not wish to exchange hostilities with a board member. It serves no purpose. I am aware there is not a firearm registry (who purchased what; how many purchased, etc.), but I was under the assumption my personal information entered into the NICS was retained due to my quick purchase in another state. Apparently I assumed in error due to a three day wait in Florida followed by the same info being entered several years later and a one hour wait.
Now some reading for you:
