First time for this fall/winter. Its 46 Fahrenheit here in Toronto - my wife said she was freezing.

My world is white today, still snowing with a howling wind. It's pretty, the kind of snow that sticks on the trees, shrubs, fences, etc. That first snow when you know as soon as you open your eyes - before you even look outside - that you have snow on the ground. Because the daylight changes. And the coming night won't be quite as dark because of it. (It's easy to be a little poetic when you don't have to be out in it.)

Yes, and soon will come the snow. And the winter seems to last forever.

I still have the AC on. It's been roasting hot this week. Indian Summer. (SF bay area, CA)
