Are they true black and white films though? If it was shot in color or printed in color digitally that's not black and white. Not truly.

The black and white parts were definitely shot on black and white film, so I guess it's one of the last films to truly use real black and white, however the finished prints were in color negative, to accommodate for the color parts, obviously. I guess to me black and white would be black and white all throughout, even down to the digital files.
