Do you think there are too many movies?
Hollywood churns out about 600 movies every year. Is that too much or do you want moar?

shareI like to see the industry doing well because it does produce enjoyable films periodically and it's easy enough to ignore the rest.

Yes, this is me, exactly. Well, except that I don't do Netflix. I rely on reviews from sites like MovieChat and get movies and TV shows from the library - late to the party, but I don't care.
shareMoar? No! LOL!
Seriously, I never realized just how many movies were out there until I started streaming a few years ago. I also never realized just how many bad movies there were out there until I started streaming a few years ago!
no, just too many bad movies...
shareGood point, BillHicksFan. There are far too many movies, both out and coming out, that are long on style (if one can call it that with a straight face.), woefully short on substance, no (real) story or stories behind them, and far too graphic and violent, to boot.
shareNotice the superhero movies for kids... Anyone who thinks will realize a 7-yr old can't go alone, so you can add 300% when his parents go.. And the awful remakes..
They don't re-make em like they used to!
Always makes me wonder - somebody thought this was good???
shareIf most of them were good, I think we'd all want more. But most aren't.
shareI would be happy with just a handful of good original movies.
More is not always better.
Better is better.
But how about more better movies?
shareThat would be a great day in the world.
From what I have seen it is a pipe dream.
I went to see IT, which is the first new movie that a I have seen on an opening week in a long, long time.
I was astonished to see how many previews to new to new movies there were.
It seemed as long as the movie.
Having said that none of them even peeked my curiosity.
It's the same ol', same ol' situation
It's the same ol', same ol' ball and chain
