I subscribe to the Brit channel Acorn...great mysteries. Of course, I have to use sub-titles due to loss of hearing in left ear and the Brit accent.

I do that occasionally too. I just used that closed caption on Howard's End this morning.
I love that movie, but I never seem to catch everything they are saying.

Rectify was 4 seasons I believe, but it had a beginning and an ending and is tremendous.

Lots of seen - and I would class as great series! Broadchurch/the missing etc - perfect examples of "one off" series to me. (A lot of brits on here then?)
