Movies you watch as unintentional comedies?

The Oscar, 1966 with Steven Boyde and Tony Bennet The guy can sing. He sure can't act though. I wonder if he wanted to try acting at the time or if someone talked him into it.
I love movies that are so bad that they are actually good and this is one of those films. I assume that it was suppose to be taken seriously at the time. You can't help laughing through most of it.
At the time this came out I was 10. I knew who Tony Bennet was and I actually thought it was a stroke of genius that he, the guy who sang, was in this big role in a movie!
Years later, I wince while watching him but I also smile because I can't help wondering why he was even chosen for the role. He gave it his ALL. I give him that.....
Anybody know why he was in this wonderful hot mess?
I think because he performed the opening theme,so maybe...why not give him a role in the movie...
