I'm more interested in Molly's Game.

I don't know if you ever read, Full Dark, No Stars, by SK. It contains four stories. Two of them are already film adaptations. A Good Marriage and Big Driver.
Netflix is also producing a movie from this collection of stories. It's called 1922. A very scary story. It will premier on Netflix on October 20th.
I sent Mr. King a letter when the book came out, saying it had a homophobic element in it that didn't help anyone. I just put "STEPHEN KING / BANGOR MAINE" on the envelope, and it got to him.
He replied with a form letter (with a typo in it!) he sends to....I forgot what he called us. Basically, anyone offended by his plots or characters. There's probably scans of this form letter online, somewhere.
Basically it said he could send a form letter because no matter what he said, he would never get through whatever our "pet hobbyhorse"/issue was, so there would never be any real communication. And I thought, Well that's certainly open minded and productive!
(This was before he got sober. Maybe his attitude has improved.)
He did write an additional PS by hand at the end, with a bit of a rationalization, anyway.
(CARRIE is really the only book of his I like...and parts of THE TALISMAN, which I complemented him on.)
