Will this get dropped by CBS after 1 season and end up on the CW like Supergirl? Probably.

reply

2 gay guys kissing on a ship, that should sell, I'll bet there will be hundreds of people that will watch that show,
and Supergirl, I don't blame the writers for trying to go politically correct and making the white bumbling Jimmy Olsen a black super smart guy with the hots for Supergirl, I blame the idiots who invested in that turkey, then again, maybe they needed the write off.

reply

It seems now a days, making a financially successful show is less important than making a political statement.

I am in the music business, and I remember my very learned music professor telling me, "never change a pop arrangement unless you can make it better" that's not what happen to Supergirl, but what I don't understand is why do the investors go along with these idiotic ideas, are they that stupid?

reply

Oh great, now the gossip rags use this site for publicity. Awesome

Also, good luck with that grabby hook but Rapp has been an out gay man for decades and Wilson Cruz is too so... move on, people, nothing to see here.

Another one going on my ignore list... but since it's apparently impossible to put you on ignore, I guess now we know how the makers of this site intend on monetizing it and I'm out.

This site has a feature called News Rumors and Gossip. No need to be so dramatic, just ignore threads of this nature.

reply

Jim, the owner of the site, added the News/Rumors/Gossip tab to generate more discussions. Most of us ignore the tab and these threads, and don't like them.

Yes, you can put posters on ignore. However the ignore feature still needs to be fixed so it ignores only the posts of those you've put on your ignore list, and not also people who've responded to posts of people on your ignore list.

We also need to be able to view our ignore lists, which currently we can't do.

reply

I think it's more likely that Jimbo added this stuff to generate more revenue.

reply

It may be. I've never seen a tab like that on any other site, and have no idea how it works, and if it generates any income.

Agree totaly. tMDB has a good setup. You can Ignore someone who then is on a list in your Profile. Later if you wish to, you can delete the person from the Ignore list and read their posts again. The thread stays intact without the Ignore person being visible, unless his/her post is quoted in a reply. Also, tMDB has a profanity filter which I wish Jim would add. The filter is Default; but you can go into your Profile and turn off the filter. As you are aware I abhor profanity. I have several here on Ignore due to their use of profanity. They may have interesting posts otherwise, so it's decision I wish I didn't have to make.

reply

That's how IMDb's ignore featured worked too, and it should be how it works here. I know Jim had to throw the feature together quickly at the time, and understand that, but I wish he'd make fixing it a priority.

I emailed Jim a month or more ago suggesting implementing a profanity filter -- same as IMDb had, which would replace the profanity with [bleep]. Personally I don't have a big problem with profanity, unless it's over the top, but realise others do.
