Even stupid teens won't watch just any CGI effects movie without a famous brand name attached. This movie is doomed.

None of Besson's films are what you would call 'deep'. They are eye candy, much like Cameron's Avatar and Titanic.

Well, you said none of Besson's films, not just Besson's sci-fi films... and you mentioned Cameron's Titanic, which is also not a sci-fi. So, not my fault, man...

Yes - this week I watched Get Out, Life and Alien Covenant. So yes I do know what's going on.

Yep, Valerian is exactly like Star Wars, only minus the world wide fanbase and massive success.
