Jodie Whittaker becomes first woman to play Doctor Who
So, leftists don't have the talent or creativity to make a new female character, they can only hijack male characters and change his gender. This has been made abundantly clear. Well, it worked great for Ghostbusters. Oh, wait..
shareYou do realize that the whole world isn't right or left.
I'm sorry, but I am soooooo tired of every change that people don't like being blamed on leftist or rightist agenda.
You're really naive then. I personally don't care about Dr. Who and if it's a man or a woman, but the leftist pc agenda is really obvious.
shareAre you American?
shareWhy would I need to be American to have that view?
shareI didn't say you did have to be American. I was wondering if you were.
shareNo, I'm not. Are you???
shareNope. The reason why I asked was curiosity if the two party system that they have in the United States is more conducive to people complaining about (insert wing here) agendas or if it was more world wide.
shareWhat country do you live in?
shareI'm in Canada. The province I live in is very Americanized and we have a lot of people spouting about left and right wing, yet the majority of us are somewhere in the middle and have elected a party that is more centrist. I really wasn't trying to be insulting to anyone btw, I really am curious. It just seems that "(insert cause) agenda" are the buzz words whenever there is a change that someone doesn't like. Both sides constantly calling each other snowflakes. It's tiresome to me. We are all just people and we all have likes and dislikes, and opinions. Not everything has to be a political agenda. In entertainment, I think it's a money issue. If they didn't think a female doctor would sell, they wouldn't have one regardless. It's about the money.
Black Annie didn't sell that well...
shareWas that because of colour or because it was a really crappy movie? I think one could argue that remakes aren't doing too well these days regardless of sex or colour changes. I could be very wrong though.
shareChanging her skin colour obviously didn't help making it sell, so I don't believe changes like these are about money.
shareNot sure if it's a worldwide thing, but it certainly is here in Europe. Sure, most people here also seem to be centrist, but it's not the same with mainstream media and the cultural elite who are very much left leaning.
shareI agree with all your word.
shareIt's about time, let the girls show what can do😉
shareLet's have a male Lara Croft for the next Tomb Raider! Wait.. that's Indiana Jones.
shareWhat...noo..do you...i just ignore that. This was the most stupid thing ever...no one can match Lara Croft, not even Indiana😉
shareActionkamen,i want to apologize for my previous post,i put too much passion in that.😏You mentioned the new tomb raider movie...i really was excited for this movie because it's based after the 2013 video game ( great game ),i still play it,bur after i read about the plot,i'm 80%convinced that it will be a s...t movie like the jolie versions.
shareall I hope for is it not being shit like the last doctor, hell I haven't even seen the last season due to the failure of the one before. They seem to have Americanised the whole show and I hate it, its to cheesy and loud bleh
shareCool. All are welcome in the Tardis.
It seems utterly ridiculous that a character that can regenerate into older/younger people can't also regenerate into apparently different genders. When they invented regeneration and recast the role with a completely different actor in style, personality and appearance in, 1966 they made it possible and ultimately inevitable that a female actor would play that role.
Whittaker is great. Loved her in Attack The Block.
Sounds like more good times ahead.
About bloody time.
shareDoctor Who Cares
shareNeat. Though I've never seen Dr. Who, and so don't particularly cares who plays the part.
