John Williams beats everybody, especially over rated bore Hans Zimmer .

IMO, can't really compare the two. Williams is far more prolific and did many memorable scores, but the argument can be made Morricone's work is more iconic

I know the topic was John Williams vs Ennio Morricone, but the now deceased James Horner should be mentioned. Look at the great movies he scored plus his academy awards. I for one will miss his talent.

Ennio Morricone hands down. The most amazing and brilliant composer ever IMHO.

I had the privilege of seeing him conduct live last year.
