Yeah, this is the unfortunate state of modern movie making. Dumbed down junk can make big money.

Unfortunately for the quality of mass-market films in general, enough care that they'll actually pay money to go see it. Mindless entertainment is one thing, but films like these take that idea to a whole new low.
