I think we all wish for certain times in our past we could do over, but in general, sometimes I think it would be nice to return to an era when technology was a bit more regressed...when cell phones were for calls, period, and didn't dominate so many people's lives to the point they become obsessed with them. I honestly think technology has contributed to less real person-to-person interaction (witness a typical family at a restaurant, for example) and has generally made us more of a "me me me" society, with less regard for others.

I'm always a little surprised when people say hearing certain songs makes them nostalgic for better, earlier times.
I must be too analytic because I listen to a lot of music but it rarely, if ever, has that effect on me.
Mostly I try to figure out if the song still has merit or if I was just a silly kid at the time.

However, I do wish I were at present more forward looking, as while getting older I realize how many times in the past I might have handled certain situations better. Now I'm just left with thoughts of what might have been had I been a little smarter.

Primarily I tend to look forward. Less likely to trip or run into a wall that way, you know? Although I must admit, during my darkest lunch hours… I will occasionally look back to the golden days of McDonald’s dark meat chicken McNuggets. Oh those golden beauties were heavenly! Granted they probably caused cancer… and were made out of unicorns…. But who cares!?! They were absolutely delicious! It’s a crime against humanity that our children will never taste such bliss. But the past is the past, and we must carry on… while trying not to choke on these disgustingly dry white piece McNuggets.

I think they made other changes as well. I don't know if it's the breading/coating, the type of frying oil or the frying method, but they just aren't as tasty nowadays.
