Favorite commercials?

Anyone have a favorite commercial?
I absolutely stop what I am doing whenever that Ford commercial comes on.
It's the one that plays the song, This Magic Moment. It has the elderly gentleman and his daughter/granddaughter next to him in the car while he is using the hands free parallel parking feature.
He has such a joyous expression. I can't help smiling whenever I see this.

Anyone else?

I hate commercials.Every time i watch a movie on tv,when is the most interesting part of the movie, here's the commercial for 10minutes,after this i loose interest for the movie.😉

I'm not a big fan of them either. I'd much rather stream shows or binge watch commercial free. I seldom watch any shows on regular TV these days. Not much interests me on network TV except the news. I watch it in the morning on ABC. Same thing in the early evening.
This commercial just stands out. I love it!

I bring the movies or the tv shows from the net without commercials, rather watch them on the network tv.

I actually don't mind a few commercials... it gives you a chance to check your phone or tablet, get something to eat or use the bathroom... but when they are too frequent or too long it makes me want to fast forward through everything. I realize that they pay for the show, so if they weren't abusive about it... I'd gladly watch some.

reply

Well there are three commercials on a show,each 8 minutes long,it 's very annoying😉

This is my all time favorite. Cracks me up every time!

Bit of Trivia Miss Margo. I later saw a follow up commercial with the same actor and dog. It turns out that the dog was a rescue. The actors message was to encourage pet adoption. It was pretty cool.

Classic Marlboro commercials that shows manly cowboys and American wilderness are my favorite. Welcome to the Marlboro country.

I've been getting a kick out of the Booking.com commercial about the stressed out kindergarten teacher with the chaotic classroom, in dire need of her vacation.

Those Geico Insurance commercials are cute and funny.

reply

Those are!

I just thought of another. It's the Spectrum commercial with John Stamos. He's so suave, talking about his many fans, but at the end he's talking to his grandma on the phone and he starts scratching his ass on a statue of a dog or something. Very funny.
He reminds me of Rob Lowe as a young #2 in the Austin Power movie.

reply

Yep. He reminds me of James Bond in that one.

The gas-x "your son rip is on line toot" was really funny. Also the Immodium hot tub commercial where the guy yells "how's your diarrhea?" in front of the group was great too. Good old toilet humor never gets old.

reply

Oh OMG! Funny! Yes. That one is great. I'm not proud. I like toilet humor!

I think the reason for hating most commercials, aside from the fact that they interrupt programs is because we see them over and over again. Still..... there are some that just stand out and you can't help enjoying them.

Good thread.

I don't watch commercials anymore since I ditched cable and began using Netflix, and a few others as needed. I *almost* want to see them again, just to see the elderly gentleman's joyous expression.

reply

Go to YouTube. Type in Ford Focus Commercial. You'll see an old guy and a young girl through the wind shield. That's the one. Very cute!

reply

Aw, that was cute! Worth looking up on YouTube, so thanks for the directions. His face put a smile on mine this morning.

It really is nice.... isn't it?
I usually enjoy the occasional Super Bowl commercial and there are touching Christmas ads like the one for Pampers where you see the sleeping babys and you hear Silent Night being sung. I always tear up.
My All Time Fave Holiday Commercial is the M&M one with Santa and the M&M..... "He Really DOES exist!!!" I never get tired of that one.

reply

I record everything I wanna watch, so when the commercials come on I blow right by them, don't care what they are,

reply

I do understand. As I have said, I do prefer streaming or watching a tv series on DVD, commercial free.
I no longer even have cable. It's ridiculous when you think about it.You are spending over a THOUSAND $$$$ a year. For what? Half the channels you don't even watch or want.
My husband put an antenna on our roof. We get around 14 local channels with that. Three of them are PBS channels. ALL GREAT!
We stream and download stuff now.
My main reason for watching TV is NEWS! I'm a news junkie. i must have the local, the world news and the PBS News Hour each night. Good Morning America is my pleasure in the morning. I see commercials then. I actually enjoy some of them!
