I guess he's talking about 3 years ago he mocked the racist owner of the Redskins (on his old show) .
It was not a racist joke, it was a joke mocking racists. And it is not 'Now", it is 3 years ago.

Thanks for the clarification. Colbert didn't strike me as a guy who would do that. That user never responded with an answer, so I guess he fell for some disinformation.
