My message board pet peeve ...

As I go back and look through comments made before in IMDB by old accounts that no longer exists, there is a lot of nastiness.

What is lacking like in IMDB is the ability to put these older accounts on "ignore". Like personally I put anyone on ignore who uses certain terms, like "butthurt", or "snowflake" ... the right-wing insults of the day because I know nothing of value will ever come from reading posts by idiots.

But I cannot do that with these old IMDB comments. I had a huge, thousands list of ignores on my IMDB account, and now it is all lost.

Does anyone know or can suggest a solution to this? So far there are not a lot of trolls here on Movie Chat, it reminds me when IMDB first started.

I've had the same Imdb account for over 10 years, and didn't delete it until the site removed the message boards. You can call me a troll if you want, but this opening post is one of the most pathetic things I've ever read. You're complaining about not being able to put users from months ago on ignore? How fragile are you? You had thousands of ignores on your account? You sound very spineless to me. I've never clicked the ignore button once on anyone...I just simply moved on to a better conversation. People are going to say things you disagree with in life, and you aren't going to be able to hit the "Ignore" button out in the real world. The reason I had to respond to this ridiculous post, is that I believe it's because of people like this that Imdb closed their message boards. The spineless crybabies who told on other users like kindergartners whenever users said anything that they didn't agree with. You seem like a true product of the "everyone gets a trophy" generation.

Not so much of being a Snowflake but the fact that trolls cross certain lines. Ganging up on posters,Doxxing them and filling the board with topics of ridiculous or disgusting nature. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm all for some shïts and giggles at times. But there is a line where it's becomes an "eyeroll"

Every few hours he makes the same nasty comment ... this is someone who ought to be banned, and probably names 1 through 5 were banned and if he is we will see version 7.
