Sammy Davis Jr. may have been the best singer of the bunch imo.
sharethe chairman of the board, of course β his singing talents were a pure gift; he didn't have to work at it like the others.
ps β they referred to themselves as "the clan"... only outsiders called them the "rat pack" after bogey died.

shareMe,as well. He was the only one without Barbara Streisand like aspirations. He was like us---sit on a couch, just sing "Everybody loves somebody sometime".
shareYes, he always struck me as a natural singer; he just sang and didn't try to stylize every song. When he did his variety show in the late 60s to early 70s he didn't rehearse - everyone else did - he just walked into the taping and did it. Maybe that's why it was so good - it came across as relaxed as he was.
