Movies that are not comedies but that unintentionally make you laugh?

Mine are always horror movies or horror-themed. Heck, I even laughed a lot at the first Twilight movie, much to the horror and disgust of the swooning 13 year olds in the front row.

What are some good movies or movie moments that you inappropriately laugh at?

reply

Some horror movies, yes. I know the majority will disagree, but for me the movie John Wick was so bad that I laughed pretty much the whole time.

reply

Wait until you see chapter 2

reply

Was chapter 2 that bad? I don't have a particular desire to see it, considering that some reviews I've read state that it's similar to the first one. And first one was more like a caricature of a movie than a real movie.

reply

I saw the movie and the lines ,how were said ,it was pretty hillarious, sorry for the fans ,but it's the truth

reply

Yes, I actually laughed almost throughout the whole film, sorry fans. Especially at Nyqvist (ursäkta Micke!) But then I laughed at a very serious and scary part in the first Scream film, and I was the only one laughing in a full theatre, so maybe it's just me, ha.

The Exorcist.

John Q was a laugh riot. Hysterical.

I recently watched Stage Fright, a horror movie from the 80's. It was funny because it was so silly and I don't think it was meant to be. Many b-grade horror movies are that way.

Was it the Italian one from 1987 or the Australian one from 1980?

reply

It was the Italian one. The one where the killer is wearing that ridiculous owl mask. Never heard of the Australian one.

The funniest serious movie I ever saw was a compilation of a 1940's weekly serial of Batman, though I'm not sure if that was the title. They took 15 of them (meant to be seen once a week at your local movie palace) and put them all together in one gigantic four and a half hour film. This was done back in the late 60's I think. They were so deadly serious, and the series was so hokey it was hilarious!

Each episode would end with a cliffhanger which usually designed to make you think that Batman had just been killed. But the next week, lo and behold, we would find out how he escaped the previous week's predicament. A perfect example was when a car with Batman in it went over a cliff. The next week they would re-run the scene and this time he jumped out just in time. Classic.

The audience would yell things at the screen (sort of like Rocky Horror) and roar with laughter. I laughed so hard my sides hurt, and I got hiccups. Every time I would hiccup, the audience would laugh even harder.

Great stuff!
