I hope you won't go away. I really believe that this site will get better. Discussions have begun to happen on a number of boards that I have visited. This site is new but for me it seems the easiest to navigate. The people here are friendly too! I'm finding it to be better every time I visit.
Yes. People are still talking about the IMDb boards closing. That's to be expected since it's only been a few weeks since it shut down. We were all so use to it. I guess many of us have felt misplaced and bitter over the way the shut down was handled. I know that it upset me!
I'm no longer upset or angry any longer. This is a great site to visit even if you just want to lurk and read what others have to say on the General Discussion.
Please don't be discouraged. If people aren't discussing much on some of your favorite boards they will if you start a few threads and get the ball rolling.
Glad you came here! Nice to have you!
Rome wasn't built in a day. This site is only a couple weeks old so far. It would be unrealistic for it to already be as active, or even one one-hundredth as active, as IMDb. Just keep posting, tell people about it, etc, and it will grow. Slowly but surely.
shareSomeone needs to do a big publicity stunt, such as streaking naked I front of Trump during a speech with "Moviechat.org." on their butt cheeks.
shareI say, don't expect others to do it for you. I don't mean that in an unkind way. I mean, if you want this board to succeed, take a chance and post something that interests you, something that makes others think, and want to offer an opinion. Don't just reply. Or worse, don't just read and NOT reply, at least.
Certainly, your post might not generate a lot of interest and response, but it just might surprise you, and become an active thread.
If your first one doesn't get a response, try again. It's really fun when you connect with someone who's intrigued by the same things, or even, maybe, disagrees, and makes you look at your opinion from a different angle.
One thing is certain: this board will not survive if most of its adherents are passive.
Well said!
shareWe need more people on The Walking Dead board. Not much going on there. That place used to always be poppin.
