OMG, they're gone!

I know how you feel. I just went there and found them gone. I thought I had more time because it's still 5:25pm on the 19th where I live. I've been a IMDb member for over 16 years. The first thing I do after watching a new movie would be to go to the IMDb message board to see what other people thought of it. :(

Yup.... gone. I grew up reading others opinions and really educated myself throughout the years by seeing others perspectives. Genuinely saddened :'(

Those sociopathic assholes shut the boards down at SEVEN-TWENTY PM EST THE DAY BEFORE THEY WERE SCHEDULED TO BE SHUT DOWN.

I had about 230 posts left to archive.

Thank god for this site ... but I have no list of those 230 posts! I do have a list of every movie I've seen, so I'll have to search for myself in each of them ...

This is hitting me a lot harder than I thought it would. RIP IMDb Message Boards.

I was just reading a message board on imdb not even an hour ago and now everything is gone. Been a member since 2001. Too bad they're not professional enough to handle the m/b. I relied on imdb for whenever I remembered a scene from a movie but not the movie title, I would go straight to imdb and I'd get an answer within under a day sometimes within the hour. I can't see how they took any consideration in this decision at all. Their loss if they lose members.

I was going to spend the day saving as many posts as I could, but everything's gone. Just like that. Bastards.
