reply

Enjoyed those too. I still remember that episode on Ellen with Martha Stewart! A very funny one.

reply

I'm sure there is tons more I could add. But first one that comes to mind is Beverly Hills, 90210.

reply

Beverly Hills 90210
(later on @ end of decade) Buffy
Blossom
Murphy Brown
King of the Hill
Daria

reply

How could I forget King of the Hill? I still watch episodes from time to time. Love it! I mean Hank baiting his hooks with crack? Priceless...hehe

I did watch a lot of Melrose too. I was in love with Michael Mancini. Also ER was kick a**

reply

Melrose ? Really ? He says sadly.

Two that I would love to see again that were under the radar

The Single Guy
Something so Right

reply

What can I say about Melrose? I was a product of my times. haha. Just clean fun? :)

reply

"I was a product of my times"
I'm just glad times have changed. Wait, maybe they haven't.

I'm just glad I never got caught up in all those shows.

reply

i watch all different shows.. and once in awhile I love ridiculous drama. Melrose was the teenage years, that's all I have to say. haha.
I think times have gotten worse. I would much rather a movie from before I was born sometimes compared to something new. Its odd. Or maybe just I am? haha

reply

"Melrose was the teenage years"- fair enough

"I would much rather a movie from before I was born sometimes compared to something new"
No truer words have ever been spoken

You already know you're a little odd.
I can tell because it takes one to know one.

reply

I would love to see a live action King of the Hill movie. Disappointed that they have not made it yet.

reply

Was this in talks?
Imagine casting-- who would you cast?

i know i ask without telling mine, but would take some thought. hah

reply

should be fairly simple to produce--bunch of Texas guys standing around drinking beer worrying about their kids...etc

saw other people put in who they would want
Lucky would need to be Tom petty
Now that he's older and hit 50, plus wearing glasses, I think Luke Perry could pull off Hank
Boomhaurer could be James Marsters
Khan could be Ken Jeong
Hank's dad Danny DeVito??

Haven't really thought about the rest

reply

Hank's dad for sure as Danny Devito..haha.
Only one I'm not sure about from what you said is Luke Perry as Hank. haha. And that's just because I loved Dylan McKay and would not want to find Hank attractive even by accident. haha

Peggy would have to be a very tall woman. Yeah I'm drawing a blank ;)

I loved him as Dylan too...also loved King of the Hill...which is why I want to cast him. I think he could do it continue to show his versatility as an actor.

As a Canadian that was born in Toronto in 1991, these shows get my mention:

Reboot: So advanced for it's time in the use of CGI, also the fact that it broke down topics. Also should mention Beasties/Beast Wars!!! All I think were done by Mainframe.

X-Men/Spiderman: of that era were stellar, I would go to Blockbuster and rent them sometimes.

Batman The Animated Series: It was so gritty and I drank it up as a kid, the character development was so deep, illustration was great.

Due South: I loved how they took on the series in comedic value and Canadian vs. American standards. Yes they tried the imitate Chicago, but nothing could hide the fact it was still 90s Toronto to me.

LaFemme Nikita: Peta Wilson, Roy Dupuis, Eugene Robert Glazer, Alberta Watson (RIP), Matthew Ferguson, Don Francks were all great in capturing the whole spy/sleeper cell role. The way they talked about technology, it was all great. Just like in Due South, a lot if great Canadian Actors and Actresses. Also directed and produced by some of the same people as on 24.

DaVinci's Inquest: Such dry humour for a coroner, I watched it again a few years ago and it stood up well, Nicholas Campbell really pulled it off well. It was also a good gritty cop drama with a lot of politics involved.

Cold Squad: People confuse this with Cold Case, but this was in the same realm and era as DaVinci's Inquest. About a cold case unit solving older cases, while dealing with bureaucracy in a police department, again a lot of dry humour.

The Outer Limits: What can I say, it is The Outer Limits.

X-Files

Third Watch: This show had so much action going on in it, depression, pain and comedy, it was very well put together.

Walker Texas Ranger: Pickup trucks are cool.
