Hey Arnold premiered today 20 years ago!

It was a very well written show and characters that had applied to every day life situations. I really appreciate the smooth jazz and elevator music you would hear throughout the series. Helga's undying, profession love for Arnold was very relatable and hilarious.

I wish they'd do a series like that today. Its been years since there was a series about nice normal people.

Have you played Atari today?

One of my all-time favorite shows. I have every episode on DVD, even though I watch the reruns on The Splat. They never get tiresome, no matter how many times i've seen them. Hey Arnold is a timeless show from a classic era of tv, and i'm glad others feel the same way.

I can't wait to see the long awaited "Jungle Movie" next year.

Exactly! 

Yeah, I miss those types of shows. Hey Arnold, Recess, Life with Louie, Doug, and Pepper Ann featured normal/average kids doing normal things. I wonder how well a show like that would fare in today's television landscape. I know Doug, Hey Arnold and Recess were popular enough to warrant theatrical movies.

LOL I got tired of Hey Arnold. There is such thing as 'too much of a good thing'

The fact that "the splat" on TeenNick never takes it off to give another show a chance to shine, pisses me off to the point where it's difficult to watch the series without thinking about how TeenNick over plays it, then I get mad. They also did the same thing with their original block "The 90s are all that."

When they said they're giving us our classics, then only stick to like 5 nicktoons 95% of the time, that's not cool. And people keep demanding an entire classic nickelodeon channel. I don't get why. Viacom would mess that up too. They Hyped MTV classic up and they're airing the reality shows that killed mtv in the first place. it's stupid.

I bought the complete series dvd of hey arnold when it came out in 2014. I still haven't been able to watch it. I tried to watch one episode and i just kept bitching to myself "why does teennick have to air this every night?"

When they're only giving us a few hours a night for classic nickelodeon, they shouldn't be sticking to just a few nicktoons and only those few nicktoons

The fact that Kablam's only on for a special occassion is just as f'd up as "the splat"s lack of variety

I was watching hey arnold on the splat last night waiting for Kablam to come on right after, I found myself tuning out. I hate that the over playing of "hey Arnold" did that to me because it's such a great cartoon.

Well, it's been years since I've last seen this show so I'm not complaining. I just started watching the reruns recently, and it's really nice to go back and refresh some memories that I had completely forgot or didn't remember about them. Especially seeing that The Splat is celebrating 25 yrs of Animation. They even showed Nicksclusive. I have forgotten all about that. You know I never realized it back then, but watching these episodes now really takes me back to 4th grade. I've always found Helga a bit relatable..for her love for Arnold. I was in that similar situation myself.

I didn't know that the Splat has been showing this before. I thought it was just this weekend that they started showing it. Watching that show brings back some memories. The Action League Now was my favorite. I do remember they were showing it on New Year's Eve 1999.

Haha...someone I had said the same thing on the Hey Arnold board. I guess that's true. They both seemed pretty hot tempered, and Arnold had that same laidback, easygoing personality as Kevin.

They haven't. this weekend is the first time. I think Kablam is on just for October 8-9th only. The Nick Aninmation YouTube channel said there were rights issues to someone called Freeze Park and Someone named Ben Thompson. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emPLuxGC340

Lucky. I wish It's been years for me. i try to watch it and it bores me easily. because ever time I watch an episode, I feel like "hey I just watched this yesterday". And Hey Arnold is one of my all time favorite cartoons. I'm the same way with CatDog and Rugrats

With this "splat" block, it's always just Rocket Power, hey Arnold, CatDog, Doug, angry beavers and Rugrats every night. And even at times, it's the same episode they just aired the night before.

Just tonight, the 2nd night of their Kablam Special, they repeated an episode from the first night.

There's never Alex Mack, Shelby woo, Allen Strange, Taina, Caitlin's way, Cousin Skeeter, pete and pete, Nick Arcade, Wild and crazy kids, Don't Just Sit There, round house, welcome freshmen, game shows, you can't do that on television, eddie mcdowd, chalk zone, invader zim, salute your shorts, etc,

and when we do get some varitey, it's only for a special occasion, like this nick Animation 25 or a holiday. Like, They basically only show "are you afraid of the dark" for halloween.

They were like this with the original "90s are all that" block as well. Enough people kept complaing on their facebook page that kenan & kel and All that was over played. Then They turned around and over played CatDog, hey arnold, rocket power, and Rugrats instead

And Worse, they've given us 2-part episodes without the 2nd part. There's a Thornberry's 2 part episode called "Sir Nigel". Once They aired part 1 and not part 2. In July, they did the same with the Salute your shorts episode "Budnick and Dina in Love". They showed part 1 only. and oddly part 2 was also removed from the digital sets on amazon, vudu and itunes of sys.

it's just difficult for me to watch an episode without feeling like I just watched it 10 minutes ago becasue of how over played it's become on teenNick's broadcast
