Day After Tomorrow

Is pretty much the greatest weather/natural disaster movie ever made.

My god is it a fun watch, especially on a rainy day.

I like it! I love disaster movies that deal with the weather.

But it is an awful lot of fun!

But then all of Emmerich's movies are dumb but fun.

THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW was OK, nothing more, nothing less. Typical Roland Emmerich middle of the road fare.

It all depends on what I'm in the mood for. If I want to watch something remotely plausible/realistic, I can't watch this. If, on the other hand, I just want to watch something unintentionally hilarious, I'll either watch this or Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid. I love the "science" in this movie, too. So funny.

I recently ran across probably the first natural disaster movie with basicaly the same plot.

Deluge(1933) Sudden and drastic climate change trigger massive tidal waves and earthquakes.
