Well it certainly comes out in some of these folks, but on the other hand, they are more than likely making the biggest investment in their life in something they are going to live in 24/7.
When you are tying up the majority of your income in paying interest to some unknown company for 30 years of your life you should get a little something out of it......!

I personally hated the realtor who was dishonest with us when we tried selling our custom-built house years ago. The bitch kept coming in and saying over and over "too cluttered, too cluttered." Didn't seem to matter how much we cleaned up, that's all she could say. I'm guessing her idea of "uncluttered" meant "no furniture or anything in the house," because that's what it pretty much came down to at one point. She should have just been up front and refused to show our house until we completely moved out. Sad part was, this was during the 2008 housing crisis, so that house sat vacant for years before anybody bought it, and we had to give it to the bank and were forced to rent homes for 8 years before we could buy a house again.
