Using A Seance To Find A Murderer

Does anyone know if in unsolved murder cases has a séance been held or a spiritualist been asked to contact the murder victim and relay who killed them ?
If people genuinely believe in spiritualism wouldn't this be the correct thing to do ?

It seems simple. It does bag the question on why don't psychics who help the police do an easier job by summoning them up? It seems they try finding the body instead of the killer.

Might not be that simple, it's apparently not like making a phone call, but rather like shouting across a multi-lane highway?

That's even if the contact at the 'other side' is even that person, and not some malicious entity pretending to be them.

“ rather like shouting across a multi-lane highway?”

It’s rather like trying to see and hear something from another dimension.

I think it’s easier to do that than to have a conversation through an exorbitant wall of sound.

If we honed our intuition as the ancients did, we would all have at least a bit of psychic ability; but super human hearing? No.

I'm afraid I haven't put much stock into seances since I watched a documentary on Houdini's biography. Evidently he hated them because he discovered the majority of them were frauds, and even stole some of his magician techniques to swindle their customers into thinking they really could talk to and summon the dead and spirits.

I think the chances are very high that if there are any real mediums, they are very few in number, and still not reliable in a murder investigation. You're more likely to find a fraud who has some hidden agenda to take your money and send the police on a wild goose chase.

They asked if the defendant had murdered them and they said yes. The jury gave a guilty verdict.
A retrial was later ordered and he was found guilty again.
