T-Bills and Gov Bonds


The US issues treasury bills and bonds to borrow money.
Can these ever be called in before the maturity date by the purchaser?

you can trade them in the secondary market, otherwise they’re locked in until maturity.

It’s the issuer that calls the bonds back in, but no, treasuries are not issued as callable bonds.

Anyway, you can invest in fractional treasury bills on the stock market or Nerdwallet now, so no need to buy them through the treasury.
