Do you think Tyler Durden is the greatest philosopher on film?

Do you think he is right sometimes with his words since he hates consumerism, wants to be masculine again and all that?

no...

Durdan's outlook is a mix of a very simple and superficial awareness of that part of the capitalist system (consumerism) and an adolescent yearning to be masculine (which in the movie was actually a simple allagory for coming out of the closet and being openly gay with guys... the fight scenes were basically a metaphor 'cruising' for male sexual partners, etc...) Nothing philosophical...

Any character in I Heart Huckabees would beat out Tyler Durden for that prize.

In terms of just philosophy, Tyler Durden is nothing compared to Janice (from Annabelle Creation), or Susan Morrow (from Nocturnal Animals); however, as a character who talks about philosophy I think he is relatively okay

He was right, we knew he was right, but it was too late.

Well, I don't know, but I love Tyler Durden.
