Mankind is insane and I wish we had died out 3 million years ago

Mankind has deluded itself that "necessity" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. No organism ever "needed" anything. We never "need" food in order to eat food, it doesn't matter how much we want food in order to eat it. A drowning man never "needs" oxygen, that's an idea in his head because wanting oxygen as a consequence of wanting to live doesn't feel grand enough for his ego.
"Necessity" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "importance" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. The planets and the stars could simply never have formed and that universe would carry on caring just as little as this one.
"Importance" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "value" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. A thimbleful of gold dust has the exact same "value" as a planet-size chunk of solid gold which is the exact same today as before organic life existed; zero. The oxygen currently in your lungs is "worth" exactly the same as all the oxygen in the universe put together; zero.
"Value" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "owning" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. No one ever "owned" so much as the brain matter they think with. Mankind has deluded itself that "stealing" is real even though it is entirely imaginary for the same reason.
"Owning" and "stealing" never exist outside the conceptual realm, they do exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "owing" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. No one ever "owed" anyone or anything anything.
"Owing" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "should" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. Nothing in the universe happens as it "should" nor as it "should not". Nothing "warrants" anything.
"Should" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "moral right and wrong" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. Right and wrong is about accuracy, not about good and evil (morality). 1 + 1 = 7 is not evil and rape is not inaccurate. The universe doesn't care how good or evil we are, it isn't comparing our actions to what's written in a script.
"Moral right and wrong" never exist outside the conceptual realm, they do exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "must" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. No one in the universe is doing what they "must" nor what they "must not". No organism "has to" do anything before, during or after its lifetime. Nothing "has to" anything. 1 + 1 doesn't add up to 2 because it "has to", it just does.
"Must" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that names and labels are real even though they are entirely imaginary. Names and labels never exist outside the conceptual realm, they do exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "deserving" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. No organism ever "deserved" being born, living or dying or anything pleasant or unpleasant before, during or after its lifetime. No one and nothing is "worthy" or "unworthy" of anything.
"Deserving" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "perfection and imperfection" are real even though they are entirely imaginary. There is no "perfect" circle or "imperfect" circle, it is simply a matter of where you draw the line of when something is not what you'd call a circle.
"Perfection and imperfection" never exist outside the conceptual realm, they do exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "justification" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. No organism can ever "justify" so much as taking a breath of the the atmosphere that sustains them.
"Justification" never exist outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "laws" are real even though they are entirely imaginary. They are no more real today than the rules of chess or the Queensbury rules of boxing were real a million years ago. Mankind has deluded itself that "crimes" are real even though they are entirely imaginary.
"Laws" never exist outside the conceptual realm, they do exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "murder", "unsactioned" killing, is real even though it is entirely imaginary. No organism ever committed "murder" because a "soldier" killing someone during a "state of war" cannot be "sanctioned" by anyone or anything anymore than a spouse beating their spouse to death on a whim can "sanction" it themselves because the universe doesn't make such distinctions. It doesn't care if we all kill eachother off.
"Murder" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "duty" and "responsibility" are real even though they are entirely imaginary. A mother has no "duty" to protect her children anymore than she has a "duty" to kill them, cook them and eat them. The universe doesn't care either way.
"Duty" and "responsibility" never exist outside the conceptual realm, they do exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "nations" are real even though they are entirely imaginary. The United States of America are no more real today than 3 million years ago. "Nations" never exist outside the conceptual realm, they do exactly nothing in real life.

Mankind has deluded itself that "purpose" is real even though it is entirely imaginary. A craftsman can make something intending it to be used a certain way but someone can take it and use it in ways the craftsman never intended and it possibly never gets used in the way the craftsman did intend. Organisms cannot infuse things with "purpose" since "purpose" never exists outside the conceptual realm, it does exactly nothing in real life.

The Stone Age lasted 3.4 million years and only ended about about 5,000 years ago. Homo sapiens is 200.000 years old and now smugly shoving these white lies of civilization and culture down the next generation's throat for the sake of order while inventing religions preaching honesty and humility while laying waste to the planet with war and pollution.

Well, how do you like my honesty and humility, my fellow homo sapien? Am I the insane one?

"Need" is just a fiction. As is "should", "must", "value" and "importance".

reply

Sure as hell can.
