Help my girlfriend pick a car

I'm trying to help my girlfriend buy a vehicle. It's her first car and she's not looking for anything too expensive or too luxurious, but of course we want something reliable and sturdy for at least a few years before she has more money to buy a newer ride. She's paying the down payment and insurance, but I believe her father is paying monthly, and we aren't going any higher than $6000 unless it's a damn good deal, which one of the vehicles is. She's 21 and makes $13.50 an hour, but doesn't drive too far for work or college.

1. 2007 Toyota Yaris - $5500 - 123,000 miles - 34-40 mpg
2. 2008 Chevy Cobalt - $3870 - 149,000 miles - 25-36 mpg
3. 2006 Volvo S40 - $4500 - 161,000 miles - 25-36 mpg
4. 1997 Mercedes-Benz E320 - $7250 - 44,000 - 19-26 mpg
5. 2009 Kia Spectre - $4500 - 90,000 miles - 24-32
6. 2008 Chrysler Sebring - $5900 - 85,000 - 20-29
7. 2002 Lincoln Continental - $4900 - 134,000 miles - unknown
8. 2000 Mercedes-Benz SL500 - $6100 - 171,000 - 25-30 mpg

Anyone know what the best vehicle would be? I'm not too sure on this kind of stuff so please don't laugh.

1994-96 Buick Roadmaster with 50-80,000 miles.

Look at it on Ebay.

The Station Wagon is only slightly more.

The benefit is easy to work on, parts available. It wont depreciate much more. Big trunk or the wagon will accept lots of items.

Nobody will steal it. Theives want Toyotas, etc

Safe to drive since it is a full size car. Luxury interior.

Avoid any car over 100,000 miles. The engine will be producing too much smog and your police might not register it.

Look for a car that has been GARAGED its whole life. These cars are usually found at Pompano Beach Florida. Owned by rich old people. No rust on the frame.

Only buy cars from Florida, California, Texas, Arizona since these frame will have no rust.

Look at cars on EBay.

If you live in California, buy a low mileage car because it must pass smog test.

A car with 140,000 is used up and will be requiring many repairs.

Acar with 75,000 miles from Florida which has spent its life in a garage driven by old people is the best. The interior will be excellent.

The best model is 1996 Roadmaster. It will get 20 mp gallon. The wagon has a LT1 engine, 280 horsepower.

She will be able to seat 8 people in the wagon.

Trust me, get a car old conservative rich people drive. They have the money to keep it up.

Do not buy Mercedes.
