Geller may have a point, but Renoir painted this one, which I like:

Despite the protests, I don't think the quality of his work has any direct correlation with people's enjoyment of them. Is Basquiat as good as Van Gogh? Who can say - it's about enjoyment and how moved people are by the art. But by all means, if the majority of people dislike the work, I guess that's enough of a reason to get rid of it.
