Groundhog living under my porch
Hope he sticks around. It's fascinating watching him eat.
shareHe's moved to the next-door neighbor's garden.
I won't deny my jealousy. ๐
But I'm happy he's happy. ๐
This morning he attacked a squirrel. I'm starting to think he's not a nice guy.
shareWe have at least 1 or more living in our yard. The little bastards are as wily as houseflies, and always seem to want to come back. We thought we'd seen the last of them when they went into the next-door neighbor's yard, but nope. It seems like at least once a week, we see new mounds dug into the backyard, ruining the work our gardeners did with the sod. I really hate those things.
Only gopher I ever liked was the one from Caddyshack, and that was only because he wasn't real, and his "war" with the groundskeeper was funny.
I don't hate the little guy. He's rather cute. He usually eats the seed the birds throw to the ground from the bird feeder. I was a little upset that he went after the squirrel. The squirrel has as much right to be there as he does. I put out that seed for whoever wants it.
shareYou're lucky. Groundhogs are a common pest where I live, and after what I saw recently while walking the dog, my family is apparently not the only ones that have problems with them in our neighborhood.
shareHe has returned. I hope he's not rabid.
shareThe neighbors said they "got rid of him". I hope that doesn't mean curtains for Mr. Groundhog. โน๏ธ
