Your lactose intolerance may not be that simple.

Some in the family have lactose intolerance but I don't. I do like the lactose free milk and prefer that over regular milk. I find cooking with it to be easy also.

Many adults do. Most animals are weened early but humans continue to drink milk and issues have developed because it isn't a usual intake.
I like the dairy substitutes just as much. One though has to be careful because some veggie items, even those claiming to be non-dairy, do have products derived from milk in them.

I have mild lactose intolerance. I can't have a bowl of cereal or a glass of milk, but a little in my coffee is fine. Casein doesn't affect me.

So you can't eat cheese? Man, that must suck.

reply

I have had blood tests to list my many food sensitivities. Yep cheese is a no go plus it is usually too salty.

I must settle for "almond" cheese as I am also allergic to soy.

Cashew cheese is good. Cashew cream also is.

Does W FOODS inventory it? I will check the next time I'm there.
