I fix my Bloody Mary with V8 juice, not tomato juice. I add a dash of lemon juice, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, salt & pepper and a healthy coupla dashes of Tabasco.

I used to love Bloody Marys made with V8. I drank them all of the time but have since switched back to other tomato juice based mixers because I think I might have a slight allergy to beets which is in V8 :(
I would fix them the same way as you though the only thing different is I'd add some celery salt too.
