Market slide accelerates in last hour

Hang on, boys and girls! Here we go on the downward portion of the rollercoaster. When it will rise again, nobody knows!

reply

No it didn't. All three indices saw their lowest levels of the day in the morning and then gradually clawed back some losses during the afternoon. Why such an easily disprovable lie?

reply

It was down over 1% today. That's a big loss. I lost thousands myself. Are you not invested?

reply

For someone who predicted the market would crash under Trump, why should anyone give a toss?

reply

Um, have you checked the markets today?

reply

But that's not what you claimed. You said the slide accelerated in the last hour, which wasn't the case at all. The S&P and Nasdaq, where lots of people have their money were down .45% for the day, a completely unremarkable day.

Today, things headed further south but that's hardly a case that the market is doing anything unusual and all three major indices are in positive territory for the year. But the fact is that the markets are overpriced at the moment and no one should be surprised by a correction in the near future. It's why I currently have my 401k in a bond-heavy conservative income fund, where it's protected from the selling panics. If a correction occurs, I'll try to time it to get back in at the bottom of the dip.

reply

The timing is an "Oh look, there's a squirrel!" distraction. Keep investing, Pollyanna!

reply

Keep investing? What does that mean? You yourself said you lost thousands. So have you pulled your investments?

reply

Yes, but not all, thus the losses.
