Judge Awards ‘Proud Boys’ Name To Vandalized Black Church

The Monday ruling in D.C. Superior Court grants rights to the trademark of the group’s name to the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church and bars the Proud Boys members from selling any merchandise with its name or symbols without the church’s consent. The ruling also allows the church to try to seize any money made from selling the group’s merchandise.

The judge placed no restrictions on the group's using its former moniker "Friends Of Dorothy."

No one cares about Fed Ops like the Proud Boys.

Real Patriots accomplished an actual goal back in November.

It’s very disappointing Trump gave pardons or commutations to those Jan. 6 protesters/rioters who assaulted police officers. I voted again for Trump, but doing what he did leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I cannot side with Trump over this action. He should have done what both he and Vance said they were going to do. The pardons/commutations would be done on a “case by case” inspection.

To Trump: Not a good thing. Also, behave differently this time around. Eat some humble pie. I’m tired of holding my nose when I vote.

This is one of the more balanced and honest posts I have seen here.

Your respectful reply to my post is appreciated. We have been on opposite sides of the fence many times, but you deserve a respectful reply from me. Sorry to say I’m late in doing so. My response is we have to be honest with ourselves and our faults. We also have to be up front regarding the faults with whom we have common ground. If we don’t project honesty how can we expect others to “agree to disagree” without malice? Does this lead to a very boring social media board? Possibly, but I’ll leave that up to others to decide.

I agree entirely. It is a view that some posters would be best advised to bear in mind. No side of the political spectrum are without faults and no issue is black and white. This should be obvious to anyone who takes a reasonable view, Moderation and less partisanship makes for more boring board I agree, but it also brings respect and perspective.

A poster who is no longer on the MC board (I miss her) PMd me stating the following:

” You and Napster never ceased to impress me. Both very passionate and seemingly at polar opposites of the political spectrum, yet always managed to discuss civilly and walk away with friendship intact. As it should be but rarely is!

She also was in your political camp.

What did you think about Trump's failure to tell them to stop for over four hours and his pressuring of his VP to stop the election certification in the meantime?

reply

To be truthful, I stopped watching the news after he lost. By that time I tuned everything out. I couldn’t tell you exactly what occurred as I was through with politics and being angry all the time. I heard bits and pieces. If he pressured his VP to nullify the election that was wrong. Also, I was still dealing with the damage from a Cat 3 hurricane which hit the MS coast on Oct. 29, a week before the election. I lived across the street from the Gulf. And, the death of my husband in June of 2020. I was on my own and living off credit cards to pay for the damage as my deductible was out of sight. I couldn’t deal with what was happening in D.C.

I did understand he told them to protest peacefully. Protesting is one thing, but rioting and assaulting law enforcement is another. We’ve seen that occur too many times from the left who throw urine, feces, rocks, etc. at our police. They may get arrested, but they’re out the door almost as soon as they’re taken inside. They burned our cities, caused the death of over 20 innocent people, but there wasn’t a wide sweep of arrests and convictions. All was on video.

It is currently February, 2025 and I continue not to watch the news. What news I get is from this board, but I check different sources. I take everything with a grain of salt. Hells Bells, my daughter shocked me when she informed me a hurricane was aimed at us last year. I now live 50 miles east of Tampa. Then another one was aimed at us. I’m a better camper staying away from the murder & mayhem.

So, to answer your question…I don’t have an answer.
