they really believe that. so if they try to stop trump, say the election isn't valid, even try to do what happened in july, then it's justified in their minds.
i once met a pretty moderate democrat who questioned if biden really got 81 million votes, he said he believed that some level of cheating had happened, i asked him if some dems would accept that, do that because "the ends justify the means"
he answered "thats a good way of putting it"
They've tried everything except outright war.
