32 of California's 58 counties were won by Trump

Deep blue California? Perhaps in the largest population centers, but those counties were in the minority in this election.

This isn't a case of "long-time Republican strongholds" either. 9 counties that supported Biden in 2020 supported Trump in 2024, the largest being Los Angeles neighbor Orange County.

Even in allegedly "blue wall" Los Angeles County, over one-third (34.2%) of voters chose Trump.

You can bet Orange County was on that list. I have an aunt who lives there, and they have a growing population of Republicans in the area. It's not really big, by any means, but it's a start after the state going totally dark blue in the past 30 years. And the California Republicans group has been increasing in numbers steadily over time.
