Has he only ever been to ONE Catholic Church?
The Catholic Church in L.A. suburbs that I went to as a kid was built in the 1950's. There weernt nuthin' Italian or Roman or anything else in it.
You go to one of the Catholic Churches in California's missions and you're going to see a bunch of artwork from Spain. You go to the Cathedral Sagrada Familia in Barcelona it looks like something out of The Wizard of Oz. You go to Saint Marks in Venice and it looks like 1,001 Arabian Nights. I can go on and on.
I don't know why Vance says the things he says, especially when those things have nothing to do with the larger point he's trying to get across. Dude is so full of himself, clearly he didn't let anyone give it a once-over or ask for suggestions that might improve it.
