FACT: Hitler did good things, but he did them in order to gain power so he could do bad things.

Prove me wrong.

reply

Perhaps, but I think the ensuing genocide and stain he left on humanity far outweighs any tax concessions he was responsible for.

I hope I can take your post at face value and that you’re not saying “he wasn’t all THAT bad” because he really was.

reply

NAZI propaganda films are listed on Imdb. Every one of them has reviews starting "Hitler did good things, but ..."!

reply

[deleted]

Did any of the reviewers give the reason he did good things like I did?

reply

I wouldn’t get too high on your horse there. You didn’t give any examples of these “good things” you’re praising him for, either.

I’m still suspicious of your motivations behind this thread. It sounds worryingly like an endorsement.

PROVE ME WRONG.

reply

FACT: I have never praised Hitler. Prove me wrong.

reply

"Hitler did good things"

praise /preɪz/verb

express warm approval or admiration of.

reply

If person helps someone change their tire is a parking lot (a good thing) and goes into the store and robs it (a bad thing) does that make the helping the person change the tire no longer a good thing?

reply

No. But you praised Hitler. Proved.

reply

You should be ashamed of yourself for falsely accusing me of praising Hitler.

reply

It is those who say one of the most evil men who ever lived did 'good things' who ought to be ashamed, my friend.

reply

To be fair, he did paint some nice pictures.

reply

Oh well then, that's different... lol

reply

I've never expressed warm approval or admiration of Hitler. Prove me wrong.

reply

approval /əˈpruːvl/ noun - the belief that someone or something is good or acceptable.

"Hitler did good things" is approval.

Thank you for playing.

reply

FACT: Me saying he did good things in order to do bad things is disapproval not approval. Prove me wrong.

reply

The Brit is trolling you.

reply

See his own logic, just quoted, where he effectively disproves himself. LOL

reply

No, you're robotic logic is flawed. You should request a software update.

reply

Please show where his logic was flawed. He will undoubtedly find it useful, as he relied on it at one point.

For a fan of transvestitism, btw you seem very interested in computer sciences. Was it a double degree?

reply

Deflection and Projection noted.

reply

Please show where his logic was flawed, his now arguing contrariwise notwithstanding.

reply

Me saying he did good things in order to do bad things is disapproval not approval. Prove me wrong.

"If person helps someone change their tire is a parking lot (a good thing) and goes into the store and robs it (a bad thing) does that make the helping the person change the tire no longer a good thing?" Your logic - which was proof enough for you earlier.

reply

FACT: If I had only said Hitler did good things I would be praising him, but me saying he did the good things in order to do bad things means i am condemning him. Prove me wrong.

reply

Fact: you are still saying he did good things. For the logic behind this, take your own recent reckoning that "If person helps someone change their tire is a parking lot (a good thing) and goes into the store and robs it (a bad thing) does that make the helping the person change the tire no longer a good thing?" to which the obvious observation is that it is still a good thing, i.e. something which meets approval. Proved yourself wrong.

reply

Using my superb critical thinking skills have come to the conclusion that I did not praise Hitler.

reply

Twisting praise of 1 specific thing, into an endorsement of everything he has ever done or said is either really stupid, or flat out disingenuous.

Twisting praise of 1 specific thing into an endorsement of everything he has ever done or said is either really stupid, or flat out disingenuous.

Indeed it would be, if I had done that. But thank you for the gaslighting. Also, did you know that Hitler is dead?

reply

I’m not gaslighting, That is what you did. Saying someone praises Hitler, or approves of Hitler has greater implications. He gave a pretty specific example of Hitler changing a tire, would he be doing a good thing?. By simply saying that he approves of Hitler, you are the one that is gaslighting, and making him seem like a racist.

reply

I’m not gaslighting. That is what you did.

I did not say that saying Hitler 'did good things' was 'an endorsement of everything he ever did or said' just that the OP praises Hitler, which it does. Actually it is a couple of others here who have explicitly noted that this sounds worryingly like an endorsement, or even a justification. It certainly is disrespectful of the millions who died. The fact that the Beancrisp deleted two replies perhaps shows his own confliction.
By simply saying that he approves of Hitler..

Which is all I did. And which is, in terms of some of the things Adolf did, strictly, true. One problem of course is that Beancrisp does not list any of the 'good' so how does one know what he has in mind?
you are the one that is gaslighting, and making him seem like a racist

The question is whether one can approve of a mass murderer and yet condemn him at the same time, it is a thin line to walk. In the context of a strongly right-wing message board, one has to be careful. Many here seem in favour of racial supremacy and racism, and for all we know Beancrisp may approve of much which falls short of genocide. And one wonders why anyone would want to consider 'good things' Hitler did supposedly at all, especially if the natural implication could be that the good partially offsets the worst. Otherwise, as another asked here: "what is he trying to say?". The OP was careless at least, offensive at most.

reply

“Hitler is dead”

Stop ruining stuff for me.

reply

LOL Actually I am wrong. Hitler did one good thing: he killed himself and had his remains thrown in a pit and burnt.

And the point you're trying to make is what exactly?

We are a wide variety of vices and virtues. Nothing is black and white in this world. Was this you're only point?

Did you come in here to bless us with your new found epiphany that 'evil doers have done some good things'?

Again, what are you trying to say?

reply

Kamala did bad things in order to get in power to do bad things

reply

Is this a “Hitler did good things even though he was evil just like Trump.” thread?
