He says that Trump is bad at protecting gun rights.

Rittenhouse, now 21, shot dead two men during a protest in Wisconsin in August 2020. He was cleared of all charges the following year after arguing self-defence.

He plans to write in former Libertarian presidential nominee Ron Paul on the ballot.

Rittenhouse's drew the ire of some Trump supporters, some of whom responded with expletive-laden tirades.

Major update: he has changed his mind about this and is supporting Trump once again. So he did a take-back. He took back his former position on Trump and reversed it to embracing him once again.
Because of this I have even less regard for him.
I would have respected him more if he had stood by his original anti-Trump stance.
Not because I hate Trump but because I see him as someone who simply changed his position, when he started losing his followers on Twitter.
He has no more convictions than a piece of rock or a pile of dirt.

He changed his position because he heard that Demented Donnie was going to release The Epstein Squad on him. No one wants to be Epsteined by Donnie's goons, not even Kyle Rottenhouse.
