Off duty solier beats woman to a pulp

This is shocking
Drunk Irish soldier is yelling homophobic slurs at a guy across the street , a woman asks him to stop - he beats her unconscious, meaning once she's down he gets on top of her and keeps punching.
His friends do nothing to help
He then brags on insta "Two to put her down , two to put her out"

Judge hands out appallingly light sentence because "he bravely pleaded guilty * , and he has a career ahead of him in the army."
*in the face of incontrovertible cctv evidence

What do you think his sentence should have been ?

The piss poor sentence has become a national scandal , as has the fact the the Irish army have no figures on criminal convictions.

I'm guessing the thug's army career will be over in the next week or so.
Ideally sentence re-done with an actual sentence and some prison justice dispensed

DEATH. Plain and simple

reply

Not Irish, don't care.

reply

Kind of weird you didn't put what the sentence was in the op.

Whilst all that is correct, and its probably what I'd do , its basically victim blaming , especially as at no point did you condemn the scumbag thugs actions.

its the same as
"Well dont go out in a mini skirt if you dont wanna get raped"

Are we as a society to just accept that violent thugs roam the street at night unchecked?
How far do you take it?
Should this lady have even been out after dark ? after all he could just as easily have attacked with less or no provacation.

What about his friends who stood around eating their takeaway patiently waiting for him to finish beating this woman to death ( death as far as they knew - he wasnt for stopping)
I guess by your logic they did the right thing too right ? because if they had tried to stop him he'd have turned on them .

Anyone have a link to this evidence? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

reply

I'm guessing its not public yet (if ever) due to red tape and bureaucracy.
