What if Biden claimed he could use the military to assassinate his political opponents ...
...and not be prosecuted for it unless he was first impeached and convicted by Senate? How badly would Maga folks lose their shit?

shareIf Biden made such a statement, they'd just be talking about the epic downfall of his cognitive abilities.
Not even Trump could blurt such a statement... even on accident.
His lawyer, who speaks for him in court, made that exact argument.
shareNo he didnt. Show us the proof.

And Trump was sitting right there.
Appeals court Judge Florence Pan, ***a nominee of Dictator Joe Biden***, posed the hypothetical questions to flesh out the bounds of Sauer’s immunity argument.
Broadly, his argument relies on the theory that presidents are shielded from prosecution for official actions if there isn’t an impeachment conviction first.
“Could a president order SEAL Team Six to assassinate a political rival? That is an official act, an order to SEAL Team Six,”
Pan said “He would have to be, and would speedily be impeached and convicted before the criminal prosecution,” Sauer said. “I asked you a yes or no question,” Pan said.
"If he were impeached and convicted first,” Sauer replied.
“So your answer is no,” Pan said.
Right, so for those playing dumb at home, according to Trump and his attorney, if he were to send Seal Team Six to murder his political opponent and he was not convicted of impeachment by the cowardly members of the Republican Senate who were at risk of also being murdered (and we know such fear motivated many of them to vote to acquit Trump in his second impeachment) then he would be beyond the reach of the law. That's your position? Because it is Trump's legal position.
Its called due process. He would have to be impeached and then convicted first. You need to take some pre-law classes.
Its a what if scenario that was asked by a judge that was appointed by Dictator Joe. Its an election season and dems are doing everything they can to make Trump look bad. This story is being falsely reported that Trumps lawyer asked the question....
Trump needs no help looking bad.
Please tell me what law class teaches that a president needs to be impeached and convicted before being tried for a crime committed while he was president. It certainly isn't the University of Kentucky, based on what Mitch McConnell said at Trump's second impeachment trial.
I forgot to ask, what was Trumps answer to the question?
How can a person be tried for a crime if they are not first tried for a crime? Is this what you are asking?
I am glad you said trial, because the verdict was not guilty. So therefore Trump was not impeached from office.
Just so you realize, Trump was not impeached for assassinating anybody. This was a hypothetical question. You seem confused
shareI know it was hypothetical and it was a stupid question by a liberal judge that was appointed by Joe.
What was Trumps answer to the question?
You say he was in the room, was Trump given a chance to answer the question?
Trump loves the uninformed.
sharethey did.
shareBiden needs to send Seal Team 6 to take out Trump, he was impeached after all and holds multiple convictions of varying degree.
shareHe already did threaten people "indirectly" you stinking halfwit.
He said "you need F22s to take on the federal government"... before falling back asleep and fondling/sniffing a 7 year old girl in his sleep.
