For one, it places the blame for economic disparities on the individual, rather than acknowledging the systemic barriers that hinder the success of marginalized communities. By promoting the notion that anyone can achieve success if they simply work hard and wake up early

That’s correct. Get up and go to work, and all those imaginary barriers will disappear. Whether you succeed or fail in life, it is YOUR fault.

This virtue signaling asshole is just hurting people by suggesting anything else.

This stereotype has persisted and continues to be perpetuated in various forms, such as the “model minority” myth, which suggests that certain racial and ethnic groups are inherently more disciplined and successful than others.

No it’s not inherent. Asians value education, and they work really hard at it, which is why they are so disciplined and successful. More so than white people. Funny how they are able to shoot right through those racial barriers that are set up for white people to succeed.

i disagree partly. if you lived on an island sure its entirely your fault.. but we dont there are many other factors. Im not saying hard work is not a factor at all. but Plenty of the most hard working people fail. plenty of lazy people, who arent not hard workers succeed simply on their family. amazing what can happen when you go to the best school in a class of 10 instead of 31, your parents can pay for a private tutor to help you. then again your parents can help pay for a private tutor for your SATs. you go to university and dont have to work 40 hours a week on top of that because your parents cover your housing. all things equal, put two people with the same IQ in this privledge family example, vs a normal poor or middle class kid and who will be far far far more likely to get better grades and excel? Your families wealth is still the biggest indicator of your wealth.

i agree with this. culture gets ignored because people are worried they will be called "racists"

I always thought that throughout human history and across the globe humans got up when the sun came up and then went to bed when it went down. Not sure it's a white supremacist thing.

I've heard doing well in school, working hard, and having brains is also rooted in white supremacy. Can't have any of that, can we?
