For one, it places the blame for economic disparities on the individual, rather than acknowledging the systemic barriers that hinder the success of marginalized communities. By promoting the notion that anyone can achieve success if they simply work hard and wake up early

That’s correct. Get up and go to work, and all those imaginary barriers will disappear. Whether you succeed or fail in life, it is YOUR fault.
I always thought that throughout human history and across the globe humans got up when the sun came up and then went to bed when it went down. Not sure it's a white supremacist thing.
