The Honorable April A. Newbauer is an acting justice for the Bronx County Supreme Court (Criminal Term) in the Twelfth Judicial District of New York. She was initially appointed to the New York State Court of Claims by Governor Andrew Cuomo in 2012 and later designated to the Bronx County Supreme Court by Chief Administrative Judge A.
Yup...it was a democrat.

You're a bigot who likes to stereotype and overgeneralize. One kooky judge or person doesn't equal an entire political party. If it did, I would say all Republicans are stupid because you are. Instead, I can specifically point the finger at you and call YOU stupid for your ignorant posts.
The real story I wanted to post I couldn't find.
It was on the front page news paper at a deli.
Some crazy Democrat judge let this killer go and the guy killed again.
There are tons of these cases.
And if they are being released who else do you think?
Statistics show Democrat prosecutors have a significant drop in prosecutions.
Never in history have we seen prosecutors act as defense attorneys and reduce charges.
If you read the article then you would know that the prosecutor wanted bail. That was denied by the kooky judge.
I think the family may have rubbed the judge the wrong way during the proceedings and she decided to punish them by releasing the defendant. She appeared very angry because a family member was late and she was asked to wait.
"Minter was arraigned Wednesday in court, where Judge Naiti Semaj released him on his own recognizance.
But since Minter was already on parole for a previous conviction, the state issued a warrant for his arrest and took him back into custody Thursday.
Governor Kathy Hochul released a statement on the case saying:
"My top priority is public safety. Earlier today, the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision issued a warrant for Tyresse Minter, and he is now in custody. DOCCS is initiating the parole revocation process due to his indictment for criminal negligent homicide and manslaughter. We will continue working closely with the Bronx District Attorney's office throughout this process as it prosecutes the charges, and we will continue coordinating with our partners in law enforcement to strengthen public safety across the State.""
You're off-topic. The point is the OPs story is incorrect. The man is back in jail because the Democratic governor put him there. And the judge was elected - not appointed.
You act as if there is no crime in red areas. There is MORE crime and murder in rural areas and small towns. Major drug addiction, suicides and murder and your politicians are doing nothing.
What do you mean Republican politicians are doing nothing? Right now they are outraged over drag queens and the LGBT community. They've already been outraged over weather balloons, electric stoves and train derailments. Since those went nowhere they needed something new to be outraged about. I wonder what next month's Republican outrage will be?
