Can You Blame Men Wanting to be Women?

Men are 'evil'. Women are 'good'.

Men 'are the past'. Women are the 'future'.

Men are all rapists, perverts, abusers, and responsible for all the evil in the world. Women are pure and blameless.

Men need to step aside. Women need to take control.

Women are ALWAYS victims, even when they're spoiled blonde blue-eyed billion-dollar heiresses like Paris Hilton. Men are ALWAYS evil, even when they're working-class Black and/or gay men who have experienced GENUINE systemic bigotry.

Men are bad EVEN WHEN they have been the VICTIMS of sexual assault. Women are automatically regarded as a victimised class, and automatically assumed, and assume themselves, that they've been raped (whether or not solid evidence actually exists), even when they may have been responsible themselves for sexually assaulting a man (an experience *I* encountered 😠).

Men are regarded as MRAs for speaking out about their experiences of abuse. When they get together they are TOXIC. When they 'invade' women's spaces they are TOXIC. When they speak they are MANSPLAINING.

Is it any wonder that many 'men' identify as women? Good for them. As a staunch PROGRESSIVE LEFTIST, I stand up for trans rights and 100% sympathise with TRANS WOMEN, unlike a lot of female 'feminists', who are really CONSERVATIVES in league with the FAR-RIGHT and GOP (who DESPISE trans women).

The future is leftist. The future is progressive. The future is TRANS WOMEN. Oh yeah, and fuck mediocre writer JK Rowing and her anti-Semitic, anti-Asian, elitist, woe-is-me bigotry. I've been bullied and attacked by women like her before, and I know for a FACT that I was blameless (I've NEVER raised a finger towards a woman), so I have NO reason to believe her racist, xenophobic lies about men. 😠

I now await the RIGHT-WING TRANSPHOBIC responses in one, two, three...

Remember, anyone who attacks me is NOT on the side of good.

reply

Transphobia is not a real word, and does not exist in the real world...it's a LARP.

No one is afraid transgenders. No one will ever be afraid of transgenders.

That's just reality.

No one should be afraid of trans people as a category (which is not to say *all* trans people are harmless, any more than one would say *all* non-trans/cis people are harmless), but clearly there IS much hatred and demonisation towards trans people, hence 'transphobia'.

reply

The fear isn't the big problem. There are a lot of hate crimes against transgender people. I'm a little weirded out by transgender people BUT I would never attack them or discriminate against them. I believe the African-American community attacks transgender people more often but I don't know if I have the stats to prove that assertion.

transphobia noun : irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against transgender people

I'm not saying you're wrong. To your credit, you appear to come in very good faith, which is often quite rare in these places, although in my personal experience, the Black community tends to be a lot more accepting of trans people than many middle-class whites.

That said, it's also possible that more Black trans women are subjected to attacks because as a category, Black women, cis and trans, are more vulnerable than most other people, and, additionally, within the US, POC are more likely pro rata to identify as trans.

In a weird way, it kind of makes sense for an old white man to transition to a woman. An old white male is an oppressor, colonizer and overrepresented. An old transgender woman is UNDERREPRESENTED according to the diversity, equity and inclusion guidelines. The Biden Administration issued equity guidelines and LGBTQ+ are included among the protected classes. White males are generally told to get to the back of the line. Disney and the Oscars have inclusion standards that exclude white males. I'm still clinging to my status as a white male BUT I could possibly SHATTER all of the Senior Olympics female records if I put on a wig and some lipstick.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the 'get to the back of the line' part. I mean, we should all be striving for equality, and a state where everyone is equal, rather than working on a 'now it's your turn' basis, as if all white men, and all white women, and all Black women, and all Black men, exist with a hive mind throughout history, rather than as individuals, but I don't feel especially attacked in being asked to make more room, and occasionally step aside, for other, less represented, people.

The part I have a problem with is the de facto assumption that men, of any colour, are the embodiment of evil, and other groups of people are innately 'good'.

I can totally accept being told, give other people a chance. What I can't accept, particularly in view of my personal experiences, is being told that I am 'evil' and that other people, many of whom I have known to have done bad things, are innately 'good' (not that I care to categorise *anyone* as innately and *wholly* good or evil).

I want to live in a colorblind society so I don't ever want to be told to get in the back of the line due to my race, gender or whatever. There are plenty of white males born into poverty that had to struggle to escape the slums or podunk towns. A lot of whites were involved in the civil rights movement so not all whites were trying to keep BIPOC down. I've encountered jerks from every race, gender, creed and class.

These were the equity measures that made me think that whites were being discriminated against in the name of EQUITY. Some of these may not be limited to white males.

The Biden administration excluded white farmers from a covid relief package and they made changes to the law after losing court challenges from white farmers.

This is the lawsuit filed by a white man who was denied covid relief since his business was not owned by a member of a socially disadvantaged community.
