Raise the minimum wage to an insane amount and this is what you get

Minimum wage there is 7.25, so what you're actually proving is that they'll cut out workers when they can regardless of what the labor costs are. Which anyone with even lick of sense already knew.

But any narrative that the uber-wealthy tell you to swallow and regurgitate you will.

Tell me, do you actually know rich people who let you gargle their balls and lick their assholes for them, or do you just dream about it?

Around the mid-term elections this year, I was at the grocery store, loading food into my car, and the same guy pushing people to sign petitions in the last election came over to me and actually asked if I wanted to sign one to push the CA govt. into raising minimum wage for fast-food workers to $22 an hour! I was outraged. It was bad enough when they pushed for $15, but $22 is even worse! They call it a "minimum wage" job for a reason; it's not meant to support entire families and just gives teenagers and unskilled workers something to do.

I went to a trade school where tuition for several classes collectively cost in the rage of $2,700-$3,000. I spent 8 months learning how to do a job that would get me $30K a year, possibly $40K as my experience level went up. Guess what kind of job was the only one that was even willing to talk to me for an interview in my area? A crappy, part-time job at a doctor's office that gave me no benefits and would have paid me $18 an hour. A job like that, for a skill that requires training....and yet these idiots in the state have the nerve to want to pay unskilled fast-food workers $4 more per hour?!

Do they even realize what happens when you raise minimum wage in a state that already has high taxes and a lot of the major taxpayers have fled? There's a reason the economy is bad. The businesses and institutions that are still open can't afford to take on too many workers, and end up with a crappy business practice where they hire the minimum amount of workers (most notably non-white people), pay them the required amount of salary, and almost literally work them to death. They have even done this at my dad's power plant, where they only have one engineer on site and a bunch of techs that work as a team with him, when it's obvious the power plant really needs 3 engineers to make the setup work.

Or as you posted, they get robots for any job that doesn't require a human.

I’ve been saying the same thing in relation to self checkout in stores. These rich companies aren’t just going to accept losing money, they are going to look for alternatives.

That's good news. Now my orders will be on time, won't get spit in on buns rubbed on the floor or any other gross things we seen happening when humans are running it. It doesn't seem fully automated though as I am sure there will be staff there but at a reduced scale.

I haven't been to a fast food place in over a year. Hamburger,fries,and drink cost almost $20.00 now.

For all the liberal dummies with no understanding of how this works, this is how it works. Very simple. A company has X amount of work that can be handled by X number of employees, costing X amount of dollars. Let's say that's five workers at $20,000/yr, so they allocate $100,000/yr for that purpose. They can spend that much and make a profit. More on that later. Let's say minimum wage goes up 10%, now they're paying $110,000 for the same workers, doing the same job, that $10k just eats into the profit. They absorb it. Let's say minimum wage goes up again, now they're paying $120,000 for what they budgeted $100,000 for. Now they have to start looking at ways to get that money back. Whether it's raising prices, or lowering other costs. Both of which may have other consequences. Another option is to start limiting things like employee benefits and hours. Walmart is famous for this. Let's say the democrats pitch a fit one year and get it jacked up 50% over what it was, now that company is faced with having to pay $150,000 to get the same work done or they start looking at other ways to save money. They've cut costs, eliminated benefits, cut hours. Now they have to start eliminating positions. Looking for ways to automate. This is happening right now with self checkouts in stores. I live on Nowheresville, Tennessee and most the stores we shop at have an automated checkout option.

So those minimum wage hikes that you 'thought' were going to help people, actually made everything worse. What you really did is make those employees cost more than they're worth. So their job was eliminated. Feel better about yourself?

Here's the life lesson. Life is hard. Anything worth having is worth working for. Accept it, own it, live it. You will never make the world a better place by giving people something they should earn for themselves. The ghetto is a good example of that.

This really comes from the capitalist owners of McDonald's trying to cut costs and keep the profits all to themselves. McDonald's would hire chimps to do these jobs if they could.

McD's is about $280 a share. If the controllers and major stockholders of MD could, they would take their money and do a stock buyback taking it private and keeping all the profits and cutting out all human labor. That is the system of capitalism we have today.

It used to be that American corporations were legally responsbily for employing the American people. Since the world of today is totally monetized, people cannot go live on the farm or homestead any more, they have to get a job, which means the pool of labor is huge and American companies were allowed they would drives wages down to just enough food to keep the desperate people working for them alive - turning the country into one big cheap virtual concentration camp for its citizens - and giving massive preference in America for foreigners who are rich to join the screw job and come in and exploit Americans.

No one is talking about raising the minimum wage to "an insane amount", but that never stops you fascist Right-wing F-ers to making all kinds of claims. They are talking about if a person works full time they should be paid a living wage.

So, aside from more absurd claims and insults, what is your solution for the dwindling middle class of America? It sound like you would love a country where when you drove home after work you saw millions of homeless, sick, poverty-stricken people by the side of the road dying. It sounds like you'd feel satisfied then, and you would be on to your next whine ... complaing about all the homeless people.

So, when will you admit that you would like to kill all the homeless people, or find some whiny way to contribute to that sentiment in society turning the US is a plutocratic tyranny - while pretending you are an upright moral Christian. Can't lie to god.
