We give $800b to NATO to fight against Russia and we gave Ukraine a $110b to fight against Russia. So why do we give money to both entities?

So far the proxy war and sanctions have yielded no results in Ukraine except lives lost. The Ruble is now trading higher than the Dollar. And you know of course when the war is over, the US will be on the hook to rebuild Ukraine. If a democrat is president, everyone will be for it, if a Republican is President, then everyone will be against it. 2024 is going to be an interesting year.

Afghanistan was a total disaster through mismanagement and politics and it lays at Biden's doorstep. It's a clusterfuck of epic proportions. There's a lot of that crap that the gov't won't even sell to civilians as surplus, even though we paid for it but it's okay to leave it for the fucking Taliban? Please. We're sitting here with record inflation, an administration hell bent on destroying the country, throwing money at Ukraine and they just abandoned $85billion worth of hardware for the enemy.

It always cost more logistically to ship everything back. It took them years to ship over and it just isn't worth the money or man hours to ship back a bunch of used stuff. Again, this isn't a new concept or unique to the Biden administration. It's DOD policy.

Afghanistan was fucked up long before Biden got into office. He's the President, and as such he always bears the responsibility for the things that happen, but the 5 months he was in office are dwarfed by Bush, Obama, and Trump. Both parties are to blame here.

Joe was so scared of the Taliban that we left a day early. and also dont forget that Biden changed the withdrawal date from May 1 to August 31. a lot of people are unaware of these facts.

fun facts:

the Ukrainians are going to fight to the death to defend their homeland against a nuclear super power.

the Afghanis let the Taliban take over their entire Country in 9 days, weapons of the Taliban are AK47's and camels.

so basically, the Afghani people dont want freedom or democracy, they like being ruled by an iron fist.

Wrong. Trump's plan was to withdraw slowly and methodically, not leave in the night like cowards. Trump's plan would not have given up the base at Bagram. I know everyone blames the president for everything but this really is Biden's mess. It was his call to bail out like that.

Do you know how much money this asshole is holding between his hands? Last I heard, the gov't pays about $700 for an M4. Problem is it has about $3000 worth of optics and lasers on it. Do you really think it costs the gov't more to ship this rifle back than it is worth? No. I'm sure there's a lot of American patriots who'd love to own an M4 with state of the art optics and electronics. We paid for it, yet it's in the hands of a tyrant and a terrorist.

I am a US Army veteran who participated in Desert Storm. After the war was over we destroyed and left behind a lot materiel. It was just easier and that's the way things were done.
