It's the duty of cops to risk their lives to prevent students from getting killed during an active mass shooting

But instead, police officers, in every recent mass school shooting case, get to the scene, and instead of going *to* the shooter, find a safe place for themselves and wait for him to either get done killing the kids, or wait for him to come out and come directly to them. That is not effective strategy if your primary goal is to prevent the actual deaths of students.

I know this has been discussed in other posts, sorry, I don't mean to flood the board, but this incompetence by law enforcement officers in these cases keeps happening and it really pisses me off. Not that I have anything against law enforcement officers, I respect them, but they really need better training in these kinds of scenarios, and so does their commanding officers.

They probably don't want to confront someone with superior firepower.

Well the fact that criminals sometimes have superior firepower than police officers is a problem in and of itself, but that doesn't excuse police officers from doing nothing while an active shooter is shooting students in a classroom, waiting in these cases is rarely an effective solution, these shootings happen quickly and do not usually last long, dozens of students can be killed by just one shooter in just a few minutes, response time, and going directly to the shooter to engage him, by any means necessary, is critical.

Doors at schools are meant to be closed and locked.

The cops that are left over are a joke. 100% loyal to their paychecks, and exist to serve and protect the state....not the people.

Defund the Municipal Police.... bring back local Sheriffs.
