Why only in America?

Maybe this is Cruz's way of dissuading people from migrating to America? To make it as bad as South America so they stop coming over from there perhaps? How is America any better if it starts looking 3rd world Fort Knox on schools? Seems like the only solution is to militarize the schools and hope no one crazy enough would attempt it. Remember the good o'l days when bus drivers didn't need a door shield? Ah, good times.

Cruz could have smacked that guy around, but he failed. He is a big fat useless failure after all.

I would have kindly asked this reporter to point to other nations that even come close to a gun culture that we have in this country. The answer is none, its not even close. Even Democrats know they will have a hard time selling gun control in states they have won in recently like Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and even Virginia. Voters there are gun using Democrats, but Democrats in DC aren't smart enough to realize this.

Other nations also don't have major issues with gangs in major cities that flood the streets with not only guns, but drugs. Drugs are also banned in this country, we even had a huge war on drugs the past few decades in case the reporter missed that, but that war has also failed. Why start another war, we clearly aren't having much success at them lately.

reply

So your blaming street gangs for all the guns? Pretty sure MS-14 aren't operating any manufacturing plants, nor does any street gang have the lobbying power to remove any regulations that might prevent guns from reaching them. Set your sights way higher on that one.

As far as drugs being imported and flooding the inner cities, you can blame the good old US government for that one.

reply

Its bigger than street gangs. They get their guns from illegal means. That will never end. Not a single major Democrat has ever called to take all the guns. Nor will they. Thus, the gun makers will still be allowed to make these guns.

While I don't disagree with you comments on the drugs, we've been fighting a drug war since the 80s under both Republicans and Democrats. It has been a huge failure. So would a gun war.

reply

Nixon began the war on drugs.

reply

True, but it wasn't until the big Reagan push of the 80s that really got things going to where we are now.
