Serious question for Wokes & Libs

What do we, as a civilized society, GAIN by being soft on crime? The criminal gains, and he's the only one.

If people learn that there are no CONSEQUENCES for their actions, they have no reason to reform: Recidivism, it's happening right now.

Without law and SOME KIND of order, we may as well revert to the old West, all carry guns, and just shoot each other if someone crosses us.

Do you realize that the only reason you have your possessions is because of law and order? Without consequences, anyone could take over your home, your car, and all you have, and throw you out on the street.

I am familiar with the argument that "too many people of color" are in the system. But let's be honest, they are not in the system because of the color of their skin -- but because they broke the law.

Why don't we just decriminalize EVERYTHING and let people run amuck ? Would this make the progressives happy? Too many people of color are being jailed for crimes, so we'll decriminalize those specific crimes -- and that will solve the problem. No!

Can someone make some sense of this? I don't understand where this country is headed. There seems to be no logic in the state of things. πŸ˜•

"Crime cannot be tolerated. Criminals thrive on the indulgence of society's understanding" I always like this line from Batman Begins and is pretty relevant these days as it is proving that the soft touch on crime is back firing big time.

I have no answer why certain people in society are so hell bent to be soft on crime, it never works and never will.

reply

Thanks for your response.

reply

Well, it does make sense, if you decriminalize everything you take the criminal element out of crime.

reply

No law, no criminality. But, that doesn't protect you and me from those who would do us harm.

reply

weird how the US has the worst recidivism. and has long before ask those "softie woke" Northern European countries.

reply

In your own words, Leofelater, stay on topic.

People personal values tend to get in the way with theirs, so they feel it's best to excuse deplorable or disproportionate behavior simply because the victim was a criminal or of color or some other trivial nonsense. It's as simple as that. Most behaviors of a cop who who goes beyond the law is excused by his partners because they respect him and his "toughness" or he manipulates them into respecting them, when the cop really is just the way he is because he is not mentally sane.

People who can feel real emotions cannot be police officers and do the job correctly. Police who can feel emotions are the police who pull their gun out in an unreasonable fear response and shoot someone. Psychopath police officers do not pull out their gun in an unreasonable fear response and shoot someone because psychopaths have no fear or very little fear. A psychopath police officer may say a mean thing to some person every once in a long while but that is actually better than having a bunch of jumpy police who can feel real emotions pull out their gun and shoot someone in an unreasonable fear response. And also, how does a police officer who can feel embarrassment even walk up to a person and interact with them whenever every situation that a police officer has to get into is going to be awkward and embarrassing?

If liberals want to make it so all police officers can feel real emotions(including embarrassment) and liberals think that that would be good, go ahead and do it and we will see what happens. Liberals are the people who have control over the USA justice system so liberals have the power to do it.

She, there are female criminals too πŸ‘

"What do we, as a civilized society, GAIN by being soft on crime?"

People who work in the USA justice system need people to commit crimes so that they can keep making large amounts of money and working the lazy jobs that are the USA justice system jobs. Lawyers do not care about society, all they care about is that they keep making over $400 per hour sitting in an office that is climate controlled for the comfort of a human body all while not doing any real work.

reply

But if they are soft on crime, there is no punishment, nothing is punishable.
Lawyers won't be necessary.

I would think they would WANT crime to keep themselves in business.

reply

People have pointed out that "soft on crime" in the USA means that psychopaths who commit crime are released early so that they can commit more crime and therefore be tried in court so lawyers make more money off of them.

reply

I see your point, re: recidivism.

reply

You lied right when you wrote "serious question." You are just wasting everyone's time.

reply

And you are being a DICK.

I really want to know HOW progressives think -- or IF they DO think.

And, if it's a "waste of time," why did you bother to respond? πŸ™„
